Description
Traveling over the ridge to the right of the formidable eleventh hole, the golfer will come upon the scenic twelfth, which appears as a solitary golf hole in the middle of the wilderness, a theme that resounds throughout Circling Raven. This serpentine hole plays downhill to a landing area well left of the green, visible some 530 yards away from the back tee markers. A Herculean tee shot might reach the fairway right of the pines, but anything hit short of the fairway on this side of the trees will surely be forever lost in the tall native grasses which flank the hole. From the landing area, the proper approach shot will settle between a triangle of bunkers which frame the fairway short of the green. Two bunkers left of the hole and one on the right define the best area for an easy approach to the green. The last point of the triangle is the left greenside bunker protecting the green. Aim right of the flag on this green as a miss on this side is readily playable while a miss left of the green is much more difficult.
