Description
After finishing out the first hole, golfers will travel through a tunnel that was constructed under the Burlington Northern railroad tracks to access Holes 2-5. A short ride across one of the many wooden bridges on the course leads players to the tees on the second hole. The second is an uphill par-4 of just over 400 yards, a fairly stiff challenge from the back tees. Most golfers should aim to the wide fairway left of the gaping bunker guarding the right side of the landing area-the rising elevation of the hole will steal some needed yardage from the tee and make clearing the bunker all the more difficult.
The green is guarded on the left by a bunker, making a left pin position testy, but the remainder of the green is wide open. Designer's recommendation: take an extra club, play to the middle of the green, and enjoy the scenery.
When you need a break, the TWISTED EARTH GRILL,
SWEEETGRASS CAFE, THE FOOD COURT, HIGH MOUNTAIN BUFFET,
and the NIGHTHAWK LOUNGE are all close by.
